🛰️ Teltonika Router Integration
Teltonika RUT routers are frequently used in mobile towers and remote sites to provide both connectivity and real-time GPS tracking. This guide covers how to register the device in GCXONE and configure the HTTPS push service for location updates.
📋 Prerequisites
- Teltonika RUT Router: (e.g., RUT240, RUT950) with a functional GPS antenna.
- SIM Card: Active data connection to reach the GCXONE cloud.
- Administrative Access: To the RutOS web interface (usually
192.168.1.1).
🚦 Device Profile
| Feature | Specification | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Tracking | GPS / GLONASS | Real-time coordinate transmission. |
| Protocol | HTTPS Post | Secure data push to GCXONE. |
| Discovery | Serial Number | Use the 10-digit SN from the router sticker. |
| Health | Keep-alive | Monitoring of signal strength and uptime. |
🛠️ Configuration Steps
- 1
1. Identify Serial Number
- 2
Log in to your Teltonika Router (RutOS).
- 3
- Navigate to Status → Device.
- Copy the Serial Number (SN).
-
The SN is mandatory for cloud binding; without it, GCXONE will reject incoming location data.
- 4
2. Register in GCXONE
- 5
- Log in to GCXONE → Sites → Devices.
- Click Add Device and select Teltonika.
- Enter the Serial Number as the primary identifier.
- Click Save.
- 6
3. Retrieve Custom Push URL
- 7
Once the device is saved in GCXONE, stay on the device details page.
- 8
- Locate the field: Teltonika Custom Receiver URL.
- Copy this unique HTTPS endpoint. It should look like:
https://gps.nxgen.cloud/api/teltonika/[YOUR_UNIQUE_ID].
- 9
4. Configure HTTPS Push
- 10
Back in the Teltonika Web UI:
- 11
- Navigate to Services → GPS.
- Select the HTTPS tab.
- Enable HTTPS: Toggle to ON.
- HTTPS URL: Paste the unique URL retrieved in Step 3.
- Set the Update Interval (recommended: 60 seconds).
- Click Save & Apply.
💡 Troubleshooting
- No Location in GCXONE: Ensure the GPS antenna is mounted externally or near a window. Check the "Satellites" count in the router status; it must be 4 or higher for a valid fix.
- Connection Refused: Verify that the HTTPS URL matches the one in GCXONE exactly. Ensure your SIM card permits outbound HTTPS (Port 443) traffic.
- Device Offline: Check the router's data usage. If the data limit is reached, it may stop sending HTTPS updates until the monthly reset.
