🍪 Resolving Browser Cookie Errors

If you can access the Genesis Dashboard but receive an "Oops something went wrong" message when clicking on Alarm Management or Workflows, the issue is almost certainly your browser's security settings.

🔍 The Root Cause​

Talos is an embedded application. It runs inside the Genesis interface but communicates with a separate security backend. To maintain your session across these two domains, your browser must allow third-party cookies.

🛠️ How to Fix: Quick Toggle​

The fastest way to fix this is using the address bar toggles:

  1. Look at the right side of your Browser Address Bar.
  2. Click the Eye icon (👁️) or Cookie icon.
  3. Toggle the switch to "Allow Third-Party Cookies" for this site.
  4. Refresh the page.

⚙️ Manual Browser Settings​

If the quick toggle isn't visible, use the manual settings for your specific browser:

  1. Go to Settings → Privacy and Security → Third-party cookies.
  2. Select Allow third-party cookies.
  3. Alternatively: Add [*.]nxgen.cloud and [*.]evalink.io to the "Allowed to use third-party cookies" list.

💡 Troubleshooting Checklist​

  • Incognito Mode: If Talos works in Incognito, clear your regular browser cache.
  • Ad-Blockers: Some ad-blockers (like uBlock Origin) treat Talos cookies as "trackers." Whitelist the site in your extension settings.
  • Corporate VPN: Some VPNs strip cookie headers. Try connecting from a direct internet line to rule out network-level blocking.
