🔐 Password Management

Maintaining a secure password is your first line of defense. This guide covers how to reset a forgotten password and the standards for creating a strong, secure credential.

🔄 Resetting Your Password​

If you’ve forgotten your password, follow these steps to regain access:

    Go to the GCXONE login page and click Forgot Password? below the sign-in button.

    2. Enter Email​

    Provide the email address associated with your account. Click Continue.

    3. Check Inbox​

    Look for an email from @nxgen.cloud containing a secure reset link.

    4. Create New Password​

    Click the link and enter your new password twice to confirm.

🛡️ Password Standards​

To protect your account and your clients' data, GCXONE enforces the following requirements:

  • Length: Minimum 8 characters (12+ recommended).
  • Complexity: Must include Uppercase, Lowercase, Numbers, and Special Characters (!@#$%^&*).
  • Uniqueness: Cannot be a password you have used recently.

Best Practices​

  • Use a Passphrase: Combine 3-4 random words (e.g., Sunset-Camera-Blue-99!).
  • Use a Manager: Use tools like LastPass or 1Password to generate and store random strings.
  • Enable MFA: Multi-Factor Authentication is highly recommended for all administrative accounts.

Account LockedAfter 5 failed attempts, your account is locked for 30 minutes for security.
